Extension goals

  • Type traditional Mongolian on ordinary web text fields.
  • Reuse the existing candidate engine and shortcut behavior.
  • Support FVS / NNBSP / MVS shortcut prefixes.
  • Keep noun protection and verb suffix behavior consistent with /write.
  • Start with Chrome / Edge before Android / iOS / desktop input methods.

Not released yet

  • Public Chrome Web Store release is available now.
  • No Edge Add-ons release yet.
  • No system-level Android / iOS / Windows / macOS input method yet.
  • No separate server module is required for the first prototype.

v1.6-A documentation

  • Document the published Chrome Web Store extension.
  • Keep /write as the stable no-install keyboard.
  • Explain the difference between embed, extension, and future system input methods.

v2.0-T Chrome Web Store published

  • Record the public Chrome Web Store release.
  • Describe Chrome extension install and support links.
  • Keep the published extension updated after stable keyboard core tests.

v1.6-C prototype direction

  • Prepare a local-only Manifest V3 prototype plan.
  • Reuse the same smart candidate engine from libs/mongol-keyboard-core/src.
  • Do not duplicate keyboard logic outside the shared library.
